Provide training and advice to ministries on project development, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring.

Project Appraisal:

Appraise capital projects submitted by ministries for inclusion in the annual capital budget.

Draft Budget Preparation:

Prepare the draft capital budget for the government.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of capital projects approved in the annual capital budget.

Update and maintain a medium-term PSIP database of ongoing and pipeline capital initiatives, as well as databases of available donor funding opportunities, civil society and private stakeholders.

National Designated Authority

Serves as the link between the country and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). They help guide the country’s climate-related projects, ensuring they align with national goals for reducing emissions and building resilience to climate change.

Secretariat

Chair and serve as the secretariat for the monthly PSIP Operations Committee and the National Sustainable Development Committee (NSDC).

Stakeholder Engagement Database Management:

gather contact information on private sector partners, civil society regarding project implementation and investments.

Development Activity Monitoring:

Monitor national development activities, including capital investments by publicly owned entities (statutory corporations).

SDG Integration and Monitoring:

Spearhead sensitization, integration, and monitoring efforts related to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Donor Project Coordination:

Supervise and coordinate donor-funded projects to ensure effective implementation and alignment with national priorities.
